There's also a companion iPhone app for data sync and mobile transaction entry, which isn't the case for any version of Quicken. • Answered by Scott B from Putney • Feb 3, 2012 •. Not very well, in my opinion. I switched to iBank from Quicken 2007 a year ago just before I moved to Lion. IBank has a much more attractive, Mac-like interface and was able to import over 10 years of Quicken data with reasonable accuracy. It provides a nice display of up-to-date financial status and has a nice approach to budgeting. There are numerous drawbacks to iBank, however.

Forget about Quicken. IBank 5 is the better personal finance app for your Mac. Macworld is your best source for. I used quicken for PC until I bought my Mac. I had hoped iBank was the solution until I used it for 6 months. I became very frustrated due to all the errors I had in my investment accounts Each month it would take hours reconciling my accounts. I'm downloading quicken files from my bank and they are imported into the iBank without any problems. I would really recommend iBank to all mac users. Version 2 was not bad but had many shortcomings. 3.1 is really nice.

We kept this account type so if you want to continue tracking your loans this way you can. However, you will now be able to convert liability accounts to the loan feature by clicking on the Convert to Loan sheet that appears the first time you go to a liability account or if you click the Convert to Loan button in Account Settings. • Updated file converters - Both Quicken 2007 and Windows file converters have been updated to import loans from those products. • And a whole lot more.

For what it's worth, I regularly entered info into both Quicken and Pocket Quicken (even with overlapping dates) and the syncing worked fine. Once or twice I'd enter a transaction on both (forgetting I'd already entered it once) but the duplicate was easy to spot after syncing and deleting it made everything reconcile as expected. I'd wonder why the hell someone is mucking about with my financial records I dunno how the developers deal with conflict or whether they've even considered it. I wouldn't have thought so - I'd certainly never considered that more than one person might be entering data into a personal finance package.
